In this case, the critic quoted would do well to read Yergin's comprehensive "The Prize: The Epic Quest for Oil, Money and Power" to understand the economic history of US/Saudi relations, in a global context. Let's face it: anything Obama does will be criticized. If he had really greeted the Arab leader as males greet each other appropriately in the Arab world, they would have touched noses and then, some ignoramus would have accused Obama of being bisexual.
